Path Watch At One

It’s a year today since the first Path Watch blog post on Bartin & Greaves Planning Applications  That dreadful application was turned down by the Peak Park planning committee and the wholesale destruction of these precious bridleways averted. In a classic council cock up Kirklees snatched defeat from the jaws of victory by allowing the developers contractors to have a go at trashing the bridleways anyway. Damage that even now they will not rectify.

And it’s the comedy cocktail of council cock ups and indifference that remains the biggest threat to good quality public access to our local countryside and the continuing inspiration for this blog.

Some low lights from the first year…
