The inaugural Really Rustic Award went to Holmfirth Footpath 8 way back in 2017. The poor path was fenced in and all the grass sprayed off in an act of wanton vandalism …sorry….farm management. Needless to say it quickly turned into a quagmire and has now had some plastic surgery,so to speak, in the form of a new stone surface. Sad to see a once rural path disfigured in such a manner.
I wonder who’s footing the bill?
